Our current series is challenging us to engage with culture in a number of ways. On Sunday, September 29th, we spoke about how Jesus would call us to help those less fortunate than us financially.

As a response, we are collecting donations for the Samaritan Resource Center, a Christian-run non-profit that serves the homeless in our immediate community near the YMCA.

All donations for men and women are welcome including socks, pants, jackets, underwear, etc. However, since the majority of their clients are men, the SRC is always in need of jeans sizes 28 to 34 as well as underwear medium and large, and large T-shirts. They also have high demand for tennis shoes and walking shoes of all sizes but sizes 9.5 to 12 are very difficult to obtain.

We want to encourage you to not just consider donating your used clothing items. What would it look like to go above and beyond and give away something new? Or even something that you highly value that fits the requirements above?

You can bring donations every Sunday through October 27th to the Connect Table in plastic bags or you can bring donations to the church office from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 to 5:00pm. The Church Office is located at 11317 Lake Underhill Road, Suite 500, Orlando, FL 32825.

Thank you for participating with us in this effort to show the love of Jesus to the people all around us!
