Hurricane Relief

It’s hard to take in everything that happened in the last week. It seemed like Hurricane Dorian couldn’t make up it’s mind!

And while we’re glad that Central Florida was spared from this storm, we know that the Bahamas were hit harder than we can imagine. As you’ve probably heard / read, there were places that had to endure 180+ mph winds for over 24 hours.

As the church, we want to do all we can to bring the hope of Jesus into hopeless situations everywhere. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone that can to donate via our strategic partner, Converge Southeast, toward the on-the-ground relief effort in the Bahamas.

In addition, we’ve provided links to other trusted organizations who are already making an impact on the people suffering through this great disaster.

YMCA

The Blanchard Park YMCA is collecting items through September 19th to be sent to the Bahamas. The following items may be dropped off during normal hours:

  • Water

  • Clothes (adult, youth, infant)
  • Shoes (adult, youth, infant)
  • Household items (batteries, candles, flashlights, etc)
